On the third week of this topic we talked about our families. Here, we are identifying the members of our family and colouring them. We then cut them out and pasted them on the handout: 'This is my family'.
We made a 'My House' collage. During this activity the children practiced their fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination. They built their houses by putting the 'bricks' one by one, from left to right in the direction of writing. All these are very important skills when it comes to writing.
Visual discrimination is the ability to recognize details in visual images. Here the children are recognizing the details in the small puzzle pieces and matching them to the larger picture.
During another exercise in visual discrimination, the children had to recognize and match different facial expressions.
