On the second week of the topic summer, we learned the letter g (gelat).

During Maths we continued learning the number 10 and revising numbers and counting objects.

This week we made visits to the year 1 section upstairs.  These visits were planned to help the children make an easy transition from kinder to year 1.  The children had the opportunity to go up and down the stairs as they will be doing daily as from next year.  They walked through the corridors to see where the toilets are and visited the library.  They visited two different year 1 classes and on the last day they had the opportunity to participate in a lesson and join the rest of the school children for the morning assembly. This will help to take away the fear of what is going to happen when they go to year 1 and change their teacher. The children were welcomed by Ms Rebecca who went out of her way to make this experience a pleasant one for the children. The children enjoyed the experience and were very confident about the whole thing.
