On the third week of the topic animals we talked about wild animals.  First we learned which are the animals that are considered wild and why.  This gave the children the chance to be exposed to new vocabulary.  Wild animals like to run freely in their natural habitat and not be locked up in cages.  We talked about where they live, how they are capable of making their own home and of taking care of themselves and their young.  This week's letter was z (zebra).

Please remember to go to 'Rhymes and actions songs' page for new updates.

During our creative activities, we made a paper plate zebra.

During Abacus started to learn the language of position:  on, over, under, inside, outside, beside and next to, in front of and behind.  The action songs 'Where's the monkey' and 'We're going on a bear hunt' helped the children understand and learn some language of position in a very fun.

The primary children are preparing for this year's Merit Day.  The name of the play for this year is going to be 'Buttons in a box' and our contribution to the decorations for the occasion shall be making buttons out of paper plates.  We started working on them this week.
